Where your API key goes
Saved only in this browser, and sent only to the provider you picked.
In development. This part of Papeliz is still being built. This guide describes how it is designed to work, and details may change before launch.
Saved in this browser#
Your key is saved in this browser’s storage (IndexedDB), with the provider you set it for. It isn’t synced anywhere, and it isn’t sent to Papeliz: there is nowhere to send it.
Sent only to your provider#
The key goes only to that provider’s base URL, with each request you make. The notes the assistant reads go there too, and that provider’s terms apply to them.
Papeliz is built never to log the key or put it in a web address.
Remove it#
Choose Forget this key in the Provider and API key settings, or clear this browser’s data for Papeliz.
On a shared computer#
Anyone who can use your browser profile can use a saved key. On a shared computer, forget the key when you’re done, or use a browser profile of your own.
A passphrase lock for saved keys is planned after launch.
